While moving Pokemon in Home many players are seeing different symbols and are looking for their meaning. If you don’t know, then Pokemon Home is an app that you can install on your phone and Nintendo Switch. It allows you to connect your Nintendo account to move Pokemon between different compatible games. But occasionally you will see some signs above Pokemon and might face issues moving them. So here I have explained all symbols in Pokemon Home and what question mark means.
All Symbols Explained for Pokemon Home
There are three symbols that you can get in Pokemon Home when you try to send them over to Pokemon Sword and Shield. These three symbols are:
- Question Mark
- Exclamation
- No
Here is what they all mean.
Question Mark Symbol meaning in Pokemon Home
The Question mark symbol is inside a blue circle. You get this symbol when you transfer a Pokemon from Let’s Go Pikachu or Let’s Go Eevee to Pokemon Home. What happens is if you save changes then the number of games that allow you to withdraw the Pokemon with this symbol will reduce. So for example, if you have a Flareon with this symbol and you decide to save changes then after saving you will only be able to use them in Pokemon Sword and Shield. Thus you cannot take them back to Let’s Go Pikachu or Let’s Go Eevee.
Exclamation
This symbol is a Yellow triangle with an Exclamation mark on it. You can move the Pokemon with this symbol above it to Sword and Shield. But when you check the Moves of the Pokemon, one of them will have an excalmation. What this means is while you can take that pokemon over to the game, you won’t be able to use the move with this mark. So if you do take it you will have to delete this move.
No
Lastly, this is one of the simplest symbols. It looks like a Red Circle with a strike in it. When you try to move a pokemon with the No symbol above it you will get the message “This Pokemon Can’t be moved into the game!”. Thus as the message says you can’t take those Pokemon from Home to Sword and Shield.
