As if there were not enough rumors and photo leaks floating in the internet, surprising news was circulating for the past few days that WhatsApp, the famous cross-platform mobile messaging app, is to be acquired by Google for 1 billion US dollar. Different medias reported that plans were in motion to integrate WhatsApp with Google’s much talked about unified messaging service-Babel.

However, this rumor has been denied by a statement by WhatsApp’s business development chief Neeraj Arora who said the company wishes to stay solo  and that there was no base of this billion dollar rumor.  WhatsApp got a lot of attention from this false news and at the end it all sounds like a blog rumor promotion scheme.
