As part of the Windows 10 version 20H2 development, Microsoft has released build 19042.487 in the Beta Channel of the Windows Insider Program. This is the sixth preview available to testers as update KB4571744, and it’s a small update that only resolves a bunch of issues.
Windows 10 build 19042.487, according to the software giant, addresses issue that causes the defragmentation tool dialog to incorrectly report that previously optimized drives need to be optimized again.
It fixes problems where the Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) will download data while a device is in cellular mode without user permission.
Also, update KB4571744 addresses various problems with the built-in VPN client, Server Message Block (SMB), rendering PeerDist-encoded content in Microsoft Edge, ActiveX preventing loading of content, black screen on Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD), stop error when the initialization of the graphics adapter fails, and much more.
