Microsoft is ready to push Windows 10 build 10162 to the Slow ring of updates on July 6th. It’s been quite an exciting several days for Windows Insiders, the company recently rolled out three previews of Windows 10, including build 10158, 10159, and Windows 10 build 10162, for which the company also released the ISO files for download. Today, the company is ready to roll out build 10162 to the Slow ring of updates.

The announcements was made by Gabriel Aul, head of the Windows Insider program, which simply said on a Tweet: “We’re releasing 10162 PC build to the Slow ring today”. If you look at the release timing from previous releases, Insiders are likely to begin seeing the new build around 6 PM EST.

As always, the new build will be available through Windows Update, but the company is also making available the ISO files for those who choose to do a clean install of the operating system or they are being forced to install the upgrade using an image, because of errors trying to upgrade via Windows Update.

This build isn’t expected to include any new major changes, only bug fixes, which makes Windows 10 build 10162 stable enough to roll out to the Slow ring.

Microsoft is scheduled to launch Windows 10 on July 29th, beginning the roll out with Windows Insiders, and those who reserved the free copy of the operating system. We also know that the company plans to finalize the operating system in the coming days, and presumably Windows 10 RTM will soon ship to OEMs.
