Microsoft recently released Windows 10 build 10565 to the Fast ring of updates, which users have to download using Windows Update. However, today Microsoft’s Gabriel Aul announced on Twitter that users can now download the ISO files.

Aul says that even though Microsoft doesn’t offer ISO file downloads for builds that are available through the Fast ring, the company considered to make the installation files available for download to help users test the new activation mechanism.

If you missed it, with the release of Windows 10 build 10565, the software giant also announced that users will now be able to use their already activated Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 8.1 product key during the clean installation process, which eliminates the need for users to go through the upgrade process before doing a clean install.

@GabeAul We don’t usually do ISOs for Fast Ring builds, but we heard feedback that these would be helpful to try the new activation paths.

While the new activation rules are only available for Insiders running Windows 10 build 10565 or later, the company plans to make new changes available when it releases Windows 10 Threshold 2, which should arrive in November.
