Windows 10 build 10586 is now rolling out to Insiders who opted for the Fast ring of updates. The new build does not include new features, but it includes a number of general improvements and bug fixes that bring the operating system close to completion, as you know the company soon plans to release the Windows 10 Fall Update to everyone.

According to Microsoft, Windows 10 build 10586 is a very well done build and it’s good enough for anyone to use as their primary operating system. However, because the preview was made available through the Fast ring of updates, it also means more bugs and fewer workarounds. As such, the software maker is publishing a list with all the known issue found in this build that users should consider before installing.

The good news is that today’s release only includes two known issues that aren’t very significant.

Windows 10 build 10586 known issues

  • After upgrading from one Windows 10 Insider Preview build to another Insider Preview build, Skype messages and contacts will disappear from the Messaging + Skype app. You can get Skype messages and contacts back by navigating to “C:\Users<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Messaging_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache” in File Explorer and deleting or renaming the “PrivateTransportId” file. After deleting or renaming that file, go to the Skype video app and sign out of Skype and sign back in.
  • The Insider Hub might be gone after upgrading to this build. You can get Insider Hub back by going to Settings > System > Apps & features and clicking “Mange optional features”, choosing “Add a feature” and selecting Insider Hub.

Seeing that there aren’t significant issues with the operating system, Microsoft seems to be getting closer to roll out the final version in the coming days. You can learn about all the new changes in: Windows 10 build 10586 for PC now available for download through the Fast ring.
