On January 13th, Microsoft begin to roll out Windows 10 build 11099 to Insiders, which is the second preview part of the Redstone update. According to the company there aren’t new changes or features, it’s just about optimizing OneCore, which is the common code shared between Windows devices.
Although, the work with OneCore is almost complete, Microsoft warns that you will be installing a version of Windows 10 that has been released to the Fast ring of updates, which means that there are a few bugs and things that don’t work correctly. As such, alongside the announcement, Microsoft is also publishing the known issues for this build.
Windows 10 build 11099 known issues
- Long on for devices using Citrix XenDesktop may be broken.
- Applications that depend on Adobe Flash may crash upon launch. This will affect some version of Skype, QQ, WeChat, etc. This doesn’t affect Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer.
As you can see the new Redstone preview doesn’t contain significant known issues, but if you use Citrix XenDesktop or some of your applications require the use of Adobe Flash, you should consider skipping this flight and moving to the Slow ring.
