Windows 10 build 14291 is now available for PC and Mobile through the Fast ring. The new Redstone preview finally introduces extension support for Microsoft Edge, plus a few new features.
The software giant is also merging the Windows Feedback and Insider Hub apps into the new Feedback Hub app. The Maps apps gets redesigned with a lot of new features, there is also an update for the Alarms & Clock app, and a lot more.
In this new video uploaded to the Pureinfotech YouTube channel showcases all the most noticeable changes in Windows 10 build 14291 for PC, including Edge extension support, new tweaks in the Settings, Feedback Hub, Maps, and Alarms & Clock apps, and a lot more.
Here’s the list with all the changes for the new build:
Microsoft Edge
- You can now install and try Extensions.
- Microsoft Edge has been updated from version 31.14279 to 34.14291.
- You can pin tabs and use the new Paste and Go features.
Settings app
- On Storage, you can now remove temporary files, downloads, recycle bin and previous Windows installations.
- Wi-Fi Sense and Paid Wi-Fi settings have been relocated to the Wi-Fi section.
Apps
- Windows Maps has been redesigned with new features, including turn-by-turn directions using Cortana’s voice.
- Insider Hub and Windows Feedback app merged into the new Feedback Hub.
- Alarms & clocks app now includes a new user interface to create alarms.
Other improvements
- Windows now has a one-handed Japanese kana keyboard.
- Text Input Canvas has a new Japanese lined-mode.
