Microsoft is now releasing the Windows 10 Creators Update (version 1703) for PCs enrolled in the Release Preview ahead of the April 11th release.

The Windows Insider Program allows enthusiasts and developers to get early access to previews of Windows 10 using the Fast and Slow rings. However, because installing early previews through these rings can affect your experience with bugs and errors, Microsoft also created the Release Preview ring, which is a third ring to get cumulative and driver updates, Windows Store apps updates, as well as features updates, before everyone else, but without significant risks.

If you can’t wait until the Creators Update, Microsoft is moving the Windows 10 build 15063 (the final version) to the Release Preview for anyone who wants to install the update early.

Get the Windows 10 Creators Update using the Release Preview ring

To get the update now, you’ll need to join the Windows Insider Program, and configure the ring level to Release Preview using these steps:

  • Click on Update & security.
  • Click on Windows Insider Program.
  • Click the Get Started button.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Open Settings and go back to the Windows Insider Program page.
