Microsoft announces today that Windows 10 Mobile build 10166 is now available through the Slow ring of updates. The news comes after twelve days since the company rolled out the same build to the Fast ring, and seven days ahead of the official release of Windows 10 for PCs and tablets.
Making the mobile operating system available through the Slow ring simply means that the company has worked most of the important bugs and now the software should be more stable and polished to install on Windows phones.
The announcement was made by Gabriel Aul, head of the Windows Insider Program via Twitter.

As it was previously reported, Windows 10 Mobile 10166 doesn’t include new features, it only brings small changes and feature tweaks, and the build is focus on improving the core quality of the software.
In addition, the company has fixed many of the known issues, such as “post-upgrade migration status screen was missing, which made the Lock screen appear frozen without the date and time for up to 10 minutes.”, the unlocking your phone after entering a PIN should also work, colors in apps now render correctly, and a few other changes.
Remember that you need to have the Windows Insider app installed and configured to receive new updates through the Slow ring, then go to Settings> Update & Security > Phone update to check for build 10166.
