Microsoft has just released Windows 10 Technical Preview for phones, but the operating system is only available on small set of low-end phones. So, if you can’t install Windows 10 in your phone or you’re just curious of all the features included in this preview version of the operating system, you can watch Microsoft’s Joe Belfiore walkthrough all the new features in the latest build.

The Microsoft’s demo video uploaded to YouTube highlights the following features:

  • Full-size background image on Start.
  • Updated Action Center with more Quick Actions.
  • Interactive Notifications, where users can now take actions directly like dismissing an alarm.
  • Enhanced speech-to-text capability, now users can dictate virtually on any text field. With all the new improvements, speech is smarter to detect if you meant “2” instead of “too”.
  • New Photos app.
  • Updated Music app.
  • New Maps app.

Sadly not everything shown in the video is part of the current build, some of the features will be released later on. This is the case of the Office apps. As you know Microsoft is building a new set of Office Universal apps for touch-enabled devices, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint to work on phones, tablets, and PCs running Windows 10, but these apps will be coming in later builds.

On later builds the company will also release a few new Universal apps, including Mail, Calendar, as well as an IP-based messaging app from Skype and others.

Although, Cortana comes built in Windows 10 Technical Preview for phones, she is only limited to the U.S. and English-only, and some of the features in Windows Phone 8.1 aren’t yet enabled in the preview.
