Microsoft is now rolling out a preview of the update KB4586853 for devices running Windows 10 version 2004. This update is optional, and it includes the same fixes and improvements for the same update that the company recently made available as a preview for version 20H2, and devices are expected to receive during the last Patch Tuesday update in December.
The update KB4586853 bumps the version number to build 19041.662, and according to the official logs fixes a problem with USB 3.0 hubs that might stop working when the device is configured to hibernate or during reboot. It addresses a problem that prevents the PDF24 app (version 9.1.1) from opening .txt files, fixes unusable touch keyboard with the Mail app, and addresses random changes in the input focus of edit controls when using the Japanese IME or the Chinese Traditional IME.
In addition, the update KB4586853 fixes an issue that prevents finding Xbox consoles on a Windows computer, and it addresses a problem that prevents the Xbox Game Bar app control from appearing on supported monitors.
Furthermore, this preview of the next cumulative update also fixes a black screen issue when attempting to sign in with Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD), excessive network traffic in File Explorer when browsing a shared folder that has the Previous Version feature available, problems with the emoji panel, and a lot more.
