As part of the Patch Tuesday for September 2021, Microsoft is now releasing the update KB5005565 for devices running Windows 10 21H1, 20H2, and version 2004, and it is a small update that delivers only one fix.
According to the company, the update KB5005565 bumps the version number to build 19043.1237, 19042.1237, and 19041.1237 for the May 2021 Update, October 2020 Update, and May 2021 Update respectively, and it includes an update that fixes that causes PowerShell to create an infinite number of child directories.
The same fix is also available for Windows 10 version 1909 as update KB5005566, which bumps the version number to build 18363.1801. Also, Windows 10 version 1809 is getting the fix with the update KB5005568 that brings the OS version to build 17763.2183.
Windows 10 version 1607 gets update KB5005573 that brings up the version number to build 14393.4651, and it includes several fixes.
Finally, Windows 10 version 1507 is getting the update KB5005569, which according to the company, brings the version number to build 10240.19060 and introduces miscellaneous security improvements.
