On January 27th, Microsoft starts pushing a new cumulative update for Windows 10 version 1511. The new update titled “Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1511: January 27, 2016” is described as KB3124262, and according to the company it only includes “improvements to enhance the functionality” for the operating system.

Unfortunately, the software maker is not sharing more specific details on what’s news in new update or what fixes it brings. However, update KB3124262 lift the version number from “10586.63” to “10586.71”, as you can see in the screenshot below.

As always, the January 27th update for Windows 10 is cumulative, and it includes all the previously installed updates. Therefore, only the new changes will download and install in your computer.

KB3124262 is available immediately through Windows Update for computers that aren’t part of the Insider program, and it’ll download and install automatically. Of course, you can always go to Settings > Update & security and manually force the download.

Along with the new cumulative update, Microsoft is also rolling out a new Windows 10 Insider Preview for Insiders, which also doesn’t include new changes. However, it brings a number of welcome bug fixes and the company begins to change the versioning number to match the PC and mobile version of Windows 10.
