Starting January 21, 2020, Windows 10 version 1909, November 2019 Update, is fully available through Windows Update. Although the November 2019 Update officially launched on November 12, 2019, it was only available for devices through Windows Update, but after months of testing the feature update available more broadly.
According to the Windows 10 health dashboard website, version 1909 is ready for download on any device using the Check for updates button from the Windows Update settings page starting January 21.
However, it’ll not install automatically when checking for updates. Instead, a “Download and install now” option will appear to begin the installation manually.
On the other hand, if you’re the November 2018 Update or an older release, Windows Update will try download and install the new version automatically as this release is reaching its end of support cycle. If you’re not ready for the new update, you can prevent this scenario using these steps.
