Another close to finish version of Windows 8.1 has leaked online, this time is build 9477. The new updated bits don’t show a lot of changes compare to build 9471, but it does brings a few cosmetic changes to Mail, Calendar, and Help + Tips apps.

The guys from WinBeta.org posted a new video that walks us through what’s new in Windows 8.1 build 9477. Although the new update is only available in Chinese, we can still manage to see the new changes.

Perhaps the most noticeable change in this pre-release update is in the new Mail app. Now in addition to the new user interface refresh and features, Microsoft is finally changing the default green colour theme to a nicer blue. Honestly, I’ve been waiting for this since day one, even though I would like to see an option to choose from a variety of colour themes — but, well…

The Help + Tips app to help users get started with Windows 8, didn’t get big additional changes but there are new icon changes.

Finally the newest leak also shows that the Start screen will come with some new background images. This is in addition to the fire dragon and robot, which we’ve seen in build 9471. Calendar has also been fixed and now the main screen display properly.

Other than these new changes the new build 9477 brings some under the hood improvements and bug fixes.
