With WordPress 3.1 on the way, WordPress 3.0.2 has just been released for everyone to download and install, this is a mandatory update for security reasons. According to WordPress News:
Stay protected and download WordPress 3.0.2 or login to your site’s Dashboard and under Updates, follow the easy steps to do an automatic update.
“This maintenance release fixes a moderate security issue that could allow a malicious Author-level user to gain further access to the site, addresses a handful of bugs, and provides some additional security enhancements. Big thanks to Vladimir Kolesnikov for detailed and responsible disclosure of the security issue!”
