World of Warcraft first launched on PC in 2004 and is one of the world’s most popular massively multiplayer online role-playing games. Developed by Blizzard Entertainment, it’s the fourth released title in the Warcraft universe. As you play the game, you create and level a character, go on quests, defeat various monsters, and explore a vast digital world. But, your character can do more than kill things.

Emotes are commands that make your character perform specific movements, such as waving, coughing, dancing, or pointing. Emotes are an excellent way to convey a feeling to the players around you, especially if you’re into the role-playing aspects of the game.

Here’s a guide to the World of Warcraft emote system.
