- Microsoft adds 76 new games to its Backward Compatibility list.
- The new Xbox 360 and original Xbox games are playable on Xbox Series X, S, and Xbox One.
- Many games get FPS Boost in console and cloud.
As part of the 20th anniversary of Xbox, Microsoft is adding 76 new games to the backward compatibility program. Xbox Backward Compatibility is a program that allows you to play existing Xbox 360 (and some Xbox classics) games on any Xbox, including the original Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X. The program has been around since 2015. However, the company stopped adding games around two years ago, and now, it’s returning with more than 70 new games.
The complete list includes many tops requested games, including the Max Payne series, the F.E.A.R., the entire Skate franchise, and more than 20 games from the original Xbox, such as Dead or Alive Ultimate, Star Wars: Jedi Knight II, Star Wars: Starfighter, and Otogi franchises.

According to the company, these new backward compatible games support Auto HDR and many of them will include resolution enhancements. Furthermore, Microsoft is also enabling FPS Boost on eleven of these new titles and on 26 of the existing compatible games. And on select games like Fallout 76 and Fallout 4 will have FPS Bost on Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta).
