There were some rumors circulating in the last few days that Fable 4 and a new Perfect Dark would be coming to Xbox Series X, as new Twitter accounts for the games have been created which is adding even more fuel to the fire.

Many fans seem to believe that Fable 4 may be closer than we thought. The accounts for both games were shared via Twitter, which is why the games are believed to be announced soon.

As Tom Warren points out, one of the accounts is followed by a Microsoft employee, while the other is registered at a Microsoft e-mail address. “I’m not sure who discovered the @fable and @PerfectDarkGame placeholders, but a Microsoft Xbox employee is following one, and the other is registered to a Microsoft email address,” Warren said.

Warren later said in another tweet that, “Microsoft has confirmed the accounts are genuine, but says they’ve been inactive for years and it’s standard IP protection. But one was registered in March 2020 and the other in June 2020.”

Aaron Greenberg, GM of Xbox Games Marketing agrees to the above point. He wrote: “I know everyone is hungry for news, but sorry to get your hopes up. These accounts have been inactive for years, it’s standard practice to secure social handles for our IP.”

The fact that the accounts were created in 2020 makes us suspect that Greenberg is not entirely sincere about the inactivity of the accounts. We hope that in the next Xbox Series X July showcase we will get some information about these titles for sure.
