Along with the Xbox One limited edition Halo 5-theme console, at Gamescom 2015, in Germany, Microsoft also announces a new accessory: the official Chatpad keyboard for the Xbox One controller. While this is not the first pad with keyboard in the market, it’s the first the made by Microsoft.

The Xbox Chatpad was a highly requested accessory from the community and with it, you can easily type a message, enter codes or passwords. You also get audio controls on the sides, a standard audio jack, and the accessory has a mono headset built-in microphone as well.

In addition, the Xbox Chatpad comes with two programmable keys next to the space bar, one on each side, which you can use to take screenshots and recording game clips.

The good news is that the new accessory also works when you connect the controller to a Windows 10 device, either for play games on a PC or while streaming Xbox One games to the Xbox app.

The Xbox Chatpad is available for pre-order immediately for $34.99 with general availability on October 27.
