Microsoft is already working on the next Xbox One update and for March users can finally expect the screenshot feature. The March system update for Xbox One is rolling out now, but only for members of the Xbox One preview program. Among other changes, Microsoft is planning to include a few improvements, tweaks, and features to the console’s operating system.

Screenshots is the biggest update for March, after the update users can simply double-tap the Xbox button on the wireless controller and pressing Y to capture a screenshot. Those with the Kinect sensor can simply say “Xbox Take a Screenshot” and the rest is magic. Keep in mind that the new feature only works on games and not throughout the system.

Once you take a screenshot, it will be saved into the Upload app, from where you can easily set it as a background, send it to friends, or post it on Twitter.

The company also is introducing a new option based on feedback to enable users choose the level of transparency for the background images. (Settings / My Xbox / Tile transparency)

Also the company is improving the Friends section with suggested friends to help you find and add new friends, which as a result will add more content to your activity feed.

In the March system update for Xbox One there are two new ways to share your real name — with your friends or everyone in the Xbox community. You will continue to have the choice to share your real name with select friends, or with no one.

Now you can report unwanted messages as spams. (Select message press A, then select Report / Spam.)

Finally, OneGuide and Xbox One Digital TV tuner expand to Australia.

Remember that only Xbox One preview member can download the update now, the rest of us will be getting the new system update in the coming weeks.
