Apple has issued guidance approving the use of Clorox Disinfecting Wipes for Apple products, like your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
Clorox and 70 percent isopropyl wipes are an easy way to quickly clean off our most used gadgets, and now Apple says it’s ok.
What they Said: Basically, Apple says it’s ok to use disinfecting wipes containing at least 70 percent isopropyl alcohol to clean your Apple gadgets, as long as you stick to the hard, nonporous surfaces, like keyboards, displays, or other exterior surfaces.
Will it stop COVID-19? Wipes like these kill 99 percent of bacteria and viruses, but it’s unclear whether they’ll affect the current strain of COVID-19. Still, it’s fairly likely that it will have the same effect on the recent virus as it does on others, according to a report over at CNN.
Don’t use bleach. Avoid getting moisture in any opening, and don’t submerge your Apple product in any cleaning agents. Don’t use on fabric or leather surfaces.
