It’s been quite a ride for many users who switched to the new Facebook Timeline design and they ended up not liking it. That isn’t a good thing, because many people may not know, but they’ve entered into something where there is not a way out, and by now this is getting clear among Facebook users. On the other hand, non-tech savvy users are getting tricked by scammers who are making them believe that there is actually a way out, if they click several like buttons, watch a video, etc.
There are already reports of many pages related to Facebook Timeline scams, which in combine put in the pockets of this individuals around 71,000 likes. Not only that, but these Facebook pages are also appearing in the top of Facebook search results.
Now you know and you’ve been warned of what is going on, what you can do is to spread the word and advice your parents, grandparents, and friends that there is not way for anyone to get their old Facebook design back. There are for examples little things you can try like the one that was previously published here — How to disable Facebook Timeline [Temporary workaround trick], but like the title says: this is just a temp workaround, because the social network is dropping support of IE7 and if you switch the user agent on your web browser software, makes it possible to access the good old Facebook profile.
Also keep in mind that Facebook will switch everyone to Timeline pretty soon.
